If you have not had a chance to walk behind the gym and check out the progress on our new stadium cover at Lakeridge High School then you will be happy to know that we are moving along nicely. Trees have come down and demolition of the old press box has begun.  With this milestone construction project really picking up momentum it is time for our community to start thinking about the concessions build out and the branding we would like to see as part of the finished look.

Lakeridge High School and our surrounding fields are a community gathering space and we are proud to finally have a facility that will reflect the talents of our young people and the commitment our families and community members have to our students in support of their endeavours.  It is a space where students from kindergarten to 12th grade can be found competing and thriving in their extra curricular events. It is where we show up to be a Pacer Family.

The funds the school board has generously earmarked for this project will provide the cover,  seats, the infrastructures to support this new project as well as 10 new restrooms and the rough build out for the concessions space.  The trimmings of that concessions space and any branding we want to add to the structure become our community responsibility.

With that said we have begun our campaign to raise 100K to put toward that community portion of the project.  We are thrilled to start the campaign by saying we have a 20K matching donation offer and with that we are reaching out to all of our families to get that first 20K raised before the end of the year.  With the year coming to an end, we want to make sure families have an opportunity to donate, if they would like, as a part of their 2019 charitable contributions. Bob Barman, former school board member and staunch Lakeridge supporter, has offered to host a reception on January 8th at his home for anyone who donates $1,000 or higher.

Let’s do this Pacer Family!!
